1. Craftsman/Cabinet Maker

Location: Surrey, BC

About the Role:

DNG Millwork is seeking a skilled Craftsman/Cabinet Maker to join our production team. As a Craftsman/Cabinet Maker, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality custom cabinets, fixtures, and architectural millwork that meet the exacting standards of our clients. From interpreting shop drawings to assembling and finishing pieces, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional craftsmanship on every project.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret shop drawings, cut lists, and production schedules to efficiently execute millwork projects.
• Select, measure, and cut materials according to project specifications, ensuring accuracy and precision.
• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools to fabricate components and assemble millwork pieces.
• Apply various joinery techniques, including dado, rabbet, and dovetail, to ensure structural integrity.
• Sand, stain, paint, and finish millwork pieces to achieve desired aesthetic and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to troubleshoot issues and optimize production processes.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in woodworking or carpentry is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in custom cabinetry or architectural millwork fabrication.
• Proficiency in operating woodworking machinery, including table saws, routers, planers, and sanders.
• Knowledge of woodworking materials, finishes, and hardware.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship, with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment.
